It also doesn’t mean you need to rely on packaged food! These recipes are quick. Like, really quick. They are also nutritious, fresh, and appealing to people of all ages!

Simple BLT rollups

Make breakfast on Sundays for the family? Make extra and stash it in the fridge until you need a pick me up. Simply spread some mayo on a flour tortillas, layer the bacon, a few slices of tomato, and a handful of lettuce on top, and roll it up! This combo is a classic for a reason, and you can get kids to eat greens if bacon is involved. Throw a sliced, hard boiled egg in there to make this a new breakfast staple in your house.

Quesadillas for the whole family

All you need are tortillas, cheese, and a hot griddle. A little butter in the pan doesn’t hurt anyone either. Plain is often great for kids, but fresh cilantro, some sliced fresh tomato, a wedge of avocado, and a spritz of lime brings this 5 minute snack to the next level. Also, don’t underestimate your kids! They might be into a more robust version too. Worth a shot!

2 ingredient banana pancakes

And they’re gluten free too. 1 overripe banana mashed with 2 eggs is all you need to make a surprisingly tasty and healthful snack! Simply pour pancake-sized dollops onto a hot, buttered griddle, and wait until they get brown on the edges before flipping over. The amount of maple syrup you douse them in is up to you. No judgement here!
