Tell us more about your company. (How you got started, where did the idea come from, how it has grown to the success it is today, etc.)

I help clients buy, sell and invest in real estate in the city & north shore. My partner, Theo Jordan, and I works as a team  Jordan & Cassman Real Estate within @properties. We assist with every step of the transaction and love helping clients find their perfect home!

My blog –– started because I love sharing things I love. Once I had my daughter, Caroline, it shifted to include motherhood content. I love the community of mama’s online and have learned so much from the IG community. I also love to post about my favorite restaurants and things to do in the city & north shore. My blog also naturally lends itself as a place for me to touch on some real estate topics too

What has been your biggest challenge as a working mom? Your biggest reward?

As a working mom, I feel like something always needs my attention and there’s just never enough time in the day. My biggest reward, is being a role model to my daughter.

Where do you think working mom guilt comes from and how can women overcome it?

I think women are wired to think we should do it all and that’s where the guilt creeps in. This day in age, there are so many ways to outsource tasks to help you focus on what you really want and need to. Utilize services that help you with meals, cleaning, various home projects etc. to give you more time.

What have you found to be the motivations and benefits for women that take on the extra stress and time crunch of combining work and family?

I find personal fulfillment and joy in combining work and family. I think having limited time motivates you to put things into perspective and be more conscious of what you let create stress in your day.

What would be your time-saving tip for your fellow working moms?

For me, waking up earlier than everyone in my family to get organized for the day helps me save time. I like my quiet time to knock a few things out and be ready to go when Caroline wakes up!

Who or what gives you your daily dose of inspiration?

I observe everything around me whether that be at a real estate showing, on my morning coffee run or an afternoon park date with Caroline – inspiration can be found anywhere!

What advice would you give to other working moms when it comes to balancing a career, family, and self-care?

You must practice self-care  whatever that looks for you – working out, therapy, date night with your husband etc. If you don’t take care of yourself, you won’t be able to be best yourself for your family, friends and career.

Bonus: Do you have a favorite quote?

“If you don’t ask, the answer is always no.”
